2010 - 2018: Timbre-based adaptation: Rewriting John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for solo multiple percussion

My doctoral dissertation, completed under the supervision of Vanessa Tomlinson, Peter Roennfeldt, and Nicholas Ng, explored the possibilities of adapting music based on timbre, rather than pitch. I used Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano as my case study, and presented my original adaptation of this piece as part of my dissertation. 2004: A study of the variables of marimba mallets and their influence on the resulting sound
